School Dismissal
As we continue to look for ways to improve the quality of the educational environment at ICS, Lima, we are making changes in school dismissal procedure. Beginning on Monday, February 11, the following changes will be in place.
Kindergarten-Grade 6
K-6 children may be picked up between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. from their classrooms. Children should be picked up no later than 3:45 p.m., unless there is an emergency. Parents, drivers or a designated person must sign the student out of school. There will be a sign out roster in each class. At 3:45 p.m. students, who are not in a school activity, will be taken to Miss Boys classroom [6u]. Those in school activities will be excused to those activities. All students in grades K-6 must be picked up and off campus by 4:00p.m. After 4:00 p.m. students not involved in a school activity are the responsibility of parents.
Grades 7-12
Grades 7-12 students are free to remain on campus until 3:45. Areas for socializing include: the court, the cafeteria or the garden. After 3:45, students may remain in the garden area till 4:00 p.m. When older students pick up a younger sibling they must leave the campus. Unless a student is in a school activity or under the supervision of a teacher, students must be off campus by 4:00 p.m.
