TRUTH
A Passion for Truth
Integration is the combination of two things that results in a whole. God is present in every place at every time. It is His presence that completes who we are and what we do. Our joy as educators is to watch Him bring wholeness to our lives and actions, and we should be broken-hearted when we become less than whole by excluding Him from our lives and actions. We should be living integrated/whole lives.
Integration is not dependent on the subject matter. A Bible class with a solid curriculum taught by trained Bible scholars is not necessarily integrated. The subject matter is God, but the subject matter alone does not insure integration. Integration is dependent on the teacher’s relationship with God through Jesus Christ; his surrendering of the class to God’s glory; his consistent, private prayer for his students; his willingness to yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit; his discipline plan; his assessment policies; and every other aspect of his conduct in and out of the classroom. When what we do as professionals is surrendered to God our classes will experience the presence of God and exemplify the applicability of the Truth of scripture to every thought and action.
